Coronavirus Special COVID-19 Notice

Special considerations should be taken when you visit a friend or individual that has an Oxygen in Use posted to there front door.

They have some type of respiratory issue and you should take precauations when visiting. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms  seek alternate ways to assist or communicate the individual(s).

One of the most important items that individuals with Respiratory Issues and using multiple types of medical devices (i,e, CPap, BiPap, Ventlator, nebulizer should be doing daily, weekly and monthly maintance on your device (s) by changing or cleaning your tubing, changing filters and wiping down other parts weekly per the device instructions.

Please post a No Smoking Oxygen in Use Sign in the front of your residence.

The Firesafe Cannula Valve Oxygen Supply Tubing Connector is a thermal fuse designed to extinguish an oxygen delivery tube fire and stop the flow of oxygen if the tube is accidentally ignited. Firesafe Cannula Valves are compatible with all standard oxygen tubes and cannulas and are easy to attach inline with universal fittings at both ends.

If you do not have a Firesafe Cannula Valve please contact your oxygen provider and ask that they provide you with them. You will need one close to the oxygen supply and one close to the individual with a 1 foot nasal cannula.
